Euler's disk is a 1/2 inch thick, 3 inch wide, chrome plated steel disk. Hold the disk upright on its concave mirrored base and give it an easy twist. That's all there is to it. The rest is a combination of Science, magic, and an increasingly compelling sonic hum. The disk spins like a coin... a coin that doesn't seem like it will ever stop.

When Euler's Disk is spun, the disk contains both potential and kinetic energy. The potential energy is given to the disk when it is placed upright on it's side. The kinetic energy is given to the disk when it is spun on the mirrored base. Euler's Disk would "spoll" (i.e., spin and roll) forever if it were not for friction and vibration. Euler's Disk has been designed so that these dissipative forces are kept rather small, and Euler's Disk can spoll up to 3 minutes!
