The "Superintendent's" home was an exception to the smaller homes provided for the mill workers. Besides being larger and of a finer design, it was the only home in the village with indoor plumbing. The home stands at the corner of River Road and Front Street, across the street from both the main mill building and the company store. A covered porch extends around two sides of the house. The porch is distinctive for its ornate woodwork and railings. A small, detached, storage building sits to the right. In the background, the rear of a worker home can be seen, with its attached kitchen and south-facing porch.
