GLENCOE BAPTIST CHURCH: 1969
(photo by James W. Cates) Glencoe Baptist Church was formed in 1893 and this building was erected in 1916. Initially, Glencoe Mills built and organized a Union Chapel for worship by all denominations. However, as the various congregations grew, the Baptists decided to build their own church. The church was later remodeled with a brick exterior and continues to operate today.
