MINUTES OF BUSINESS MEETINGS1923

March 15, 1923
Meeting of the Board of decons those present was as following G. L. Murray, J. R. Allen, G. T. Faucette, C. F. Phillips, Pastor Lennon R. S.
Brother Murray was elected as chairman of the Board. The following business was transacted. Moved and carried that we begin our Revival Meeting the third Sunday in May. Also that we get Bro J. M. Green of West Durham to hold this meeting to begin with an all day service "Family Community day."
March 25, 1923
After B. Y. P. U. the pastor call the church together in conference. The above decons report was approved. It was moved and so ordered that we get Bro J. M. Green of West Durham Baptist Church to preach for us in the meeting.
Moved and second and ordered that the Moderator Bro Lennon appoint a committee to arrange a program for the Community day. The appointed are G. L. Murray, C. F. Phillips, G. T. Faucette.
The next in order was the Disciplain of the church. Moved and second and ordered that we appoint a committee to see the members who has not done as members should. Moved and second and ordered that we have another conference the 4 Sunday in April.
Moved and carried that we withdraw Fellowship from Bro S. L. Story at his own request. The pastor was ordered to appoint the committee on Delinquent members. Moved and second and ordered that we appoint a committee to see what can be done in regard to building our pastor a home. G. L. Murray, C. F. Phillips, Geo T. Faucette committee

April 22, 1923
After B. Y. P. U. and preaching the pastor called the church in conference, for the following business was transacted - Reading report of com- on building they report in favorable. Namely that we build our pastor a home joining the lot of the church. The church voted to carry the project through.

July 22, 1923
Pastor preached after Sunday school and after preaching the following were received for baptism - Sister Pheaby Blanchard, Sister Mary Anna Lineberry, Sister Susan Ward, Sister Artinsy Murray, Bro Ivy Johnson, Bro Bedford Ward.
At 2:30 we met at the riverside for Baptism. Pastor Lennon Baptized the following sisters - Artinsy Murray, Sister Pheoby Blanchard, Mary Anna Lineberry, Bros Bedford Ward, Bro Ivey Johnson. Sister Ward was not ready at this time.
Sept 28, 1923
Board of Decons met at Bro Faucettes and had a very good meeting.
Sept 29, 1923
The church met in annual conference and after reading meetins of last meeting and approved, the pastor led in prayer.
Moved and second and so ordered that we commorate the Lords Supper the first Second Sunday in each quarter.
Moved and second and so ordered that the decons rase mony to paint the church, and that Bro Murray G. L. look into the matter.
Moved and second and so ordered that the church meet in conference once a month and that we meet Thursday night before the second Sunday.
Moved and second and so ordered that we make a delinquent list of all Delinquent members.
Moved and second and ordered that we send the following to the association as Messingers - Bro G. L. Murray, C. F. Phillips, Fred Atkinson, Thomas McKenney.
Election of officers. C. F. Phillips, clerk; W. O. Murray, Treas; J. R. Allen, S. S. Supt; Cradle Role Supt., Sister Mandy P. Pennington. Board of trustees - present board.
After reading the letter to association it was approved by vote of church. No more business. Church adjorned.

Sept 30, 1923
After preaching today the doors of the church was opened and the following received for Baptism - Sister Alma Madkins, Sister Hill, Sister Bessie and Annie McKinney and Bro Fred Atkinson.
All but Sister Alma was Baptized today and also Sister Bidford Ward.
Oct 7, 1923
The pastor held a baptism service over at Deep Creek. The following were Baptized - Sister Alma Madkins and Sister
Nov 1, 1923
At the regular prayer meeting services the pastor held Devotional Exersizes and then the meeting was given over to Rev. M. W. Buck who read scriptures and talked on Deconship. After this service the following Decons was Ordained - Breathern Geo. Fawcette, G. L. Murray, C. F. Phillips.
