MINUTES OF BUSINESS MEETINGS1918
The original records are located at Glencoe Baptist Church. The records are handwritten and difficult to read at times. I have generally tried to be accurate in regards to the original spelling and grammer. Appreciation is extended to Glencoe Baptist Church for granting permission to use this document.
Sept 30, 1918
The church gathered in annual business meeting, with Pastor Martin W. Buck; in the Chair. After a brief devotional service the Pastor presented a brief summary of the financial reports for the past year. The report was approved and ordered filed in the Treasurer's record. It was suggested that the church adopt the "Duplex Envelope" system for the collection of current expenses and missionary offerings. After general discussion it was voted to adopt the system at once.
The election of officers resulted as follows: Deacons John R. Allen and Geo. T. Faucette. Trustees: J. J. Murray, G. L. Murray, G. L. Fonville and R. D. Pennington. C. F. Phillipps was chosen as Church Clerk, W. O. Murray, Treasurer, and John R. Allen as Superintendent of Sunday School.
