REVEREND JOHN A. HACKNEY
In the early part of 1908 the State Baptist Mission Board employed Rev. John. A. Hackney, grandfather of Oselle Andrews Bradshaw, to pastorate the field of churches surrounding the Northern section of Alamance County. Rev. Hackney was called as pastor of Glencoe Baptist Church on March 8, 1908. His ministry was very brief and on April 10, 1909, Rev. W. E. Dunnegan replaced him as pastor. However, Rev. Hackney later returned to Glencoe in 1925 to serve for a second time as pastor of the Baptist Church. This picture was taken circa 1908.
